Berkeley SkyDeck is UC Berkeley's flagship startup accelerator, supporting founders through its accelerator cohorts and Pad-13 incubator program. This role sits on the program management and marketing side of the organization rather than product design, supporting the accelerator's external communications and internal operations.

Scope of Work
Keeping One of the Top University Accelerators Running and Visible
Plan and coordinate logistics for 10+ startup-investor events, conferences, and Demo Day programming, managing scheduling, sponsor signage, attendee communications, and run-of-show details end-to-end.
Produce and publish 3+ weekly marketing assets across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X, spotlighting startup milestones and founder updates to drive engagement for one of the top university accelerators in the US.
Manage and maintain the Berkeley SkyDeck website (skydeck.berkeley.edu), keeping content current across programs, advisors, and companies pages.

Newsletter production: Drafting startup news and headline blurbs from founder submissions, writing advisor and mentor news summaries, sourcing and formatting logos and headshots, and preparing final copy for distribution in Mailchimp.
Social media management: Drafting copy and visuals across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and BlueSky for milestones including funding announcements, press features, and program updates. Scheduling posts and tracking follower growth across platforms.
Research and verification: Confirming advisor and startup affiliations, checking the credibility of submitted press or publication claims, and cross-referencing submissions against SkyDeck's internal startup database.
Event and program support: Promotional material for SkyDeck events and speaker series, and operational support for accelerator processes such as interview scheduling and batch application tracking.
Asset and archive management: Organizing SkyDeck's photo and media archive and maintaining consistency across the marketing content calendar.
